Duration: 3 hours, 17:30-20:30
Language: English
Minimum age: 18
Location: CakesBerlin Studio, Urbanstr. 6, 10961 Berlin-Kreuzberg
Skill level: The workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as anyone with some previous cake-decorating experience.
You’ll begin with your own freshly baked, filled and crumb-coated cake, ready for its final coat and decorations.
Each participant will decorate an individual round cake serving approximately 10-15 people. A range of buttercream colors and fresh flowers and fruits will be your “tools” for everyone to explore, allowing you to create something unique while working within the playful, artistic CakesBerlin style.
The design will combine a pastel buttercream base with colorful flowers, fruits, optional small vintage swirly details and carefully composed decorative elements.
At the end of the evening, your finished floral cake will be packed into a cake box for you to take home.
During the workshop, you’ll learn how to:
Apply a smooth final buttercream coat
Create optional vintage piping details
Choose harmonious color combinations
Create balance and composition within a cake design
Prepare fresh flowers for cake decoration using floral tape
Adapt the design through your own selection of colors, flowers and details
